Share, Export and Import Activities
Custody X Change helps you share your activities schedule and collaborate on it. You'll only have to check one calendar — even if your kids' schools use two different calendars and your co-parent uses a third.
You have two options for sharing your activities schedule on an ongoing basis: link with other Custody X Change users or export to an outside calendar.
You can also import live from an outside calendar, like a sports scheduling app.
Share by linking Custody X Change accounts
The best way to share your activities with someone is to link with them on Custody X Change. This seamlessly shares your full activity schedule, along with details like location.
Anyone you link with can add and edit activities. You'll each get notified as soon as the other person makes an update.
- Invite your child or anyone else for free. They'll also be able to view your shared custody calendars, but they won't have access to anything else.
- Invite your co-parent to subscribe. They'll also get access to your expenses, child info and shared calendars. Plus, you'll be able to message each other.

Export live to another calendar service
Another way to share your activities schedule is to export it live. This is great when someone who needs to stay in the loop won't use Custody X Change.
Your activities schedule will be sent automatically to an outside calendar on an ongoing basis. (Your custody schedule won't appear, so you may want to export your custody calendar as well.)
-
In your activities center, click the gear icon, then "live sync."
-
After you click "export activities," select whose activities you want: all your children's or one child's.
Syncing each child individually keeps their activities separate in the external calendar. It's helpful for color-coding or giving a child access to just the activities that include them.

-
Send the URL that appears to whoever needs it. They'll paste it into their preferred calendar. Have them follow their calendar's directions for adding or syncing a calendar.

How soon new changes appear in the external calendar depends on that calendar.
- Apple Calendar: Can be set to as little as five minutes
- Google Calendar: About every 12 to 24 hours
- Outlook: About every three hours
Import live from another calendar service
Use our live import to quickly bring in all your events from an external calendar, like SportsEngine or your school's calendar. You can import as many calendars as you need.
Changes in the external calendar will appear automatically in Custody X Change, and you'll only have to check one calendar.
-
Follow Step 1 from above.
-
After you click "import activities," paste a syncing link from the calendar you want to import. To find the link, look in that calendar for words like iCal, ICS or integrate. You need a URL, not a file download.

Once you hit save, you'll see when your calendar last synced with Custody X Change. If the link didn't work, you may need to change your external calendar's privacy settings.

Custody X Change will import from your other calendar every hour. You can refresh manually if the last sync was more than a few minutes ago, so you'll always be up-to-date with your connected calendars.
