How to Make a Child Custody Calendar
To make your child custody calendar, you put each part of your custody and visitation schedule into one calendar.
Custody X Change is software that creates custody schedules and custody calendars.
With the software you can make a custody calendar that includes the following:
The residential schedule is the every day schedule that shows when your child spends regular time with each parent.
Usually you make a schedule for a certain number of weeks and then continually repeat it on your calendar.
A summer break schedule is when you have a different residential schedule during part of the year, usually during some or all of your child's summer break or other long school breaks.
The holiday schedule shows which parent your child spends time with on holidays and special occasions. The holiday schedule overrides the residential schedule during the holiday time.
Making a custody calendar from your schedule lets you see where your child should be at all times. It can help you and your child's other parent stay organized and on the same page.
After your schedule is compiled onto the calendar you can:
- Print copies of your calendar for you, the other parent, and your child
- Save your calendar as a PDF
- Email your calendar to the other parent
- Export your calendar to your device or other calendar planner
- Make changes to your schedule and print out a new calendar
