Q: I have a question about purchasing?
The frequently asked questions about purchasing are at the bottom of the purchase pages.
Q: How do I setup my purchase on a new computer?
Download and install the latest trial version, and then follow the prompts to activate it.
Q: How do I do (this or that) with Custody X Change?
Consult the following sources to find the answer to your question:

  1. The Help Bar. The Help Bar is attached to the right side of the program, and explains how to use everything the software can do. It also has getting started information, useful tips, and has answers to the common questions about each feature.
  2. The Tutorial Videos. The tutorial videos are an excellent way to see how the software works. Answers to most questions are easily understood by watching the videos.
Q: How can I use the software on my Apple computer?
You have to install Windows on your Apple computer. We currently do not have plans to make a version that works on the Apple Operating System.
Q: How can I use the software on my phone?
You can export the calendar to phones and gadgets that support calendars and/or the internet, but you they can't natively run the software. We currently do not have plans to make a version for any phones or gadgets.
Q: I found a bug, please help!
If you have an error with the software, first:
  1. Restart your computer
  2. Uninstall Custody X Change
  3. Download and install the latest version
If that doesn't fix the problem, please email us:
  1. A copy of your plan file (File → Save As)
  2. What you were trying to do in the software when it gave you the error
  3. A screenshot of the error window, or the exact wording of the error message
  4. The version of Windows you're running
With that information we're able to track down and fix most errors very quickly.
Q: Something's wrong with my schedule or parenting plan
Email us a copy of your plan file — not a report or a calendar from the plan — but the plan file itself. We have to look at your plan or we won't be able to help.

To send a copy of your plan file, you have to either locate where the file is saved, or save it somewhere you can find easily (like the desktop). Inside the software, "File → Reopen" will show you the path, and "File → Save As" will let you save a copy of it to a known location. Then attach it using your email service, using whatever method your mail service provides.
Q: I have a question about my case, schedule, or proposed plan, etc.
